Being half-Dutch half-Canadian, I’ve learned that beauty is incredibly personal. 

It’s also so universal. There are across-the-ocean principles that make me feel equally at home in a cottage by a lake in Eastern Canada, as in my upstairs apartment in Haarlem.

Why? That’s my favourite question. I am curious and always looking to discover something new. Both by understanding the bigger picture, and by zooming in on details and their meaning. Those will reveal what’s key for your living space.

I see the world in technicolour - with special thanks to my sensitive brain. Light, color, nuance, atmosphere: my senses catch ‘em all. It’s what helps me design interiors that feel right.

When I can help people thrive, I’m over the moon! Maybe that’s why I enjoy gardening so much. Each flower decides where they will grow and where they won’t. It’s a playful and delicate process of creating the right circumstances for it to bloom.
